"The Four Seasons"
– A Fusion of Cultures and Aesthetics

This series of artworks, "The Four Seasons," is inspired by the elegance and symbolism of Japanese art and culture. The pieces merge traditional Japanese aesthetics—particularly the exquisite painted panels of Nijō Castle in Kyoto—with elements of European classical art and Art Deco.

Through a mixed-media technique, the works combine watercolour painting, gold and silver leaf, collage, textured paint, and handmade Japanese decorative paper. The interplay of delicate transparency and intricate detailing creates a rich, layered effect, capturing the ephemeral beauty of nature and femininity.

Each painting represents a different season, embodying its essence through the use of colours, textures, and natural motifs. The result is a poetic and sensual dialogue between East and West, tradition and modernity.
